Daytona State College
I fell in love with a ghost,
And I couldn't stay awake.
I held oblivion
Of the chaos she would make.
I fell in love with a ghost,
And slowly, I'd create
Every single attribute,
From how she spoke to what she ate.
I fell in love with a ghost,
And once she was created,
I resolved to find this soul;
Only then would I be sated.
I fell in love with a ghost,
And soon would I discover
That not a single spirit
Could be this kind of lover.
I fell in love with a ghost,
Who filled my eyes with mist.
For I fell in love with a ghost,
And ghosts do not exist.
