Daytona State College
I’m like a closed book
I struggle with emotions
Turn me page by page
Unlock my devotion
Try to read me too fast and you won’t know me at all
Read me too slow and you will hit a stone wall
Honesty is trust. I don’t see it as a flaw
A temper so fierce, I’m kind and then cruel
But this is my shield, my weapon, and my tool
The words on my pages cut deep to the core
I will always love you forever and showing it is hard
I hide behind this mask, my soul is terribly scarred
The beginning is sad
The middle is changing
My end is unknown
I will not leave you alone
I will stay with you until the end of time
